Frequently asked questions

Does scrunching a photo delete it?

No. Scrunched photos wait in the in-app bin, whether the shot goes in or not. Nothing is deleted until you empty the bin, and iOS asks you to confirm first.

I deleted a photo I wanted. Can I get it back?

Yes, for 30 days. Open the Photos app, go to Albums, then Recently Deleted, select the photo and tap Recover. After 30 days iOS removes it permanently.

Can I take a photo back out of the bin?

Yes. Open the bin, look through what's in there and put back anything you want to keep, any time before you empty it.

I kept a photo by accident.

Tap Undo keep to bring it back. It keeps going back through the session, up to 20 photos.

Do my photos get uploaded anywhere?

Never. Your photos stay on your iPhone, and there's no account or tracking. The app only sends a few anonymous running totals, like how many photos have been scrunched overall. See the privacy policy for the details.

Scrunch only shows some of my photos.

You may have given it limited access. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos > Scrunch and choose Full Access, or add more photos to the selection.

How many shots do I get for free?

Free players get a daily allowance of shots that refills every day, and making a shot earns it back. Scrunch Premium gives unlimited shots and unlocks every library.

How do I restore my purchase on a new phone?

Open the Premium screen in the app and tap Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple account you bought it with. Family Sharing members get Premium automatically.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, or go to your App Store subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before it renews, including during the free trial, to avoid being charged.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
